Motorcycle Repair: poor running lt80 quad, octane boost, clutch side

Question
The bike starts fine, idles fine, but when you start off it runs fine for about 30 feet and then bogs down like the chock is on.  I have had the carb cleaned 2 times and it then works fine.  Im just tired of spending the money and would like to do it myself.  I am mechanically sound, but dont know what the small line is or how to remove it to ge the carb out.  It runs from the left side of the carb to the engine cover.  When it started running bad this time I did drain all the gas out, put 93 octane in with a little octane boost to help.  I was hoping it would eat up the gunk.

Answer
Larry, it really isn't my brand nor do I deal with ATV/ATCs.

It sounds like there is an oil line going to the carb, which you would expect for a 2 stroke engine. Gotta be feeding the motor some oil, otherwise it just seizes up. Check the spark plug for signs of aluminum and/or excess oil or fuel deposits. If you see metal on the plug, you need to pull the top end off for inspection and repairs.

2 strokes can have problems with crankshaft seals, either leaking air on the flywheel side or sucking transmission oil from the clutch side of the cases.

I know that some smaller 50cc Yamaha bikes had a governor switch on the handlebars to limit the rpms for beginners, but have no idea if that is a feature for yours.
