Motorcycle Repair: Turn Signals on a 1970 CT90, honda trail, ct90

Question
I have bought a 1970 CT90 Honda Trail Bike.  It didn't come with rear turn signal lights, but it has a switch on the left handle bar.  There are two wires capped with plastic near the rear of the back fender.  I suppose these are for turn signal lights, but I connected a light to one of the wire connections and it didn't work.  Are those wires for the turn signal lights and if so, how do I get them to work.

Answer
Chris, this is an easy one.  The light blue and the orange wires are the turnsignal leads but they supply 12 volts to the bulbs.  Those turnsignals have to be grounded.  Originally, they had a wire under the pinch bolt holding the turnsignal to the mounting stem and that green wire was providing the ground circuit. If the turn signals aren't grounded they won't work.
