Motorcycle Repair: low mileage bike, leaky seals, gaskets

Question
I recently found a 1998 Fat Boy for sale.  It has 1600 (that's correct 1600, not 16000) miles on it.  I have no idea how regularly it ran.  Is this bike likely to give me problems like leaky seals when I begin to ride it?  It looks mint, garage kept with a few extras and they want $8500 for it.  Costly to get it up to par?

Answer
Its really hard to say on a bike that has been sitting if seals and gaskets ar going to leak. I have seen them never leak and others which do.
The only problems I can forsee are the carb is gunked up and needs rebuilt and you might have a rust ring on the cylinder, from the rings sitting in one place and from sitting so long
Good luck and happy riding
