Motorcycle Repair: honda cbr f4, car jumper, honda cbr

some one jumped my 1999 Honda cbr f4 with a car jumper. a week and a half later my battery wont keep a charge. some told me it could have been the car jumper burning something out.. is this tru?  THANKS  R Dub

My experience is with older pre-82 Hondas but you could have ruined the voltage regulator.  I've heard that if you jump a bike with a running car, the voltage regulators can interact ant you can damage the bike's regulator.  I've never seen it myself but that's the rumor. I know there's no problem if the car is not running because I've done that many times.
