Motorcycle Repair: 2005 dyna forks, broken spring, maintainence

mike,i own a 2005 fxdi superglide,i just started noticing something unusual in my front suspension.i got it home and realized my forks are just about bottoming out.it has almost no rebound.i bought it brand new and have only 8,000 miles on it.i am very meticulas about maintainence,and i can not figure what is causing this problem,i have no leaks,therefor i am concerned.i would appreciate any input or information.thank you

There is a large spring in each fork that is there for the spring in each fork. You might have a broken spring. Jack the bike up so there is no pressure on the front end, remove the fork caps and slide the springs out and check them
