Motorcycle Repair: 1973 cl 350 turn signals, rubber isolators, turn signals

Hello,

I have a 1973 CL 350. When I signal a left or right turn, the front signals blink properly, but both rear signals will blink at the same time. Do you have any ideas?

First you need to make sure the connections are right in the head light and under the seat.  Assuming the orange wires are plugged into the orange connections and the light blue are in the light blue connections, the problem is probably a bad ground.  Those turnsignals were isolated on rubber isolators and need a separate ground wire.  If one of the ground wires(green) is missing, the circuit will find another path to ground which turns out to be through the other bulb.  So both lights will light up dimly.
