Motorcycle Repair: clutch, clutch lever, clutch plates

Question
I have an 1980 FLH. I set the clutch up as per the repair manual. Now at a stop light the bike creeps forward. If I loosen the three nuts on the clutch plates the clutch slips under hard take offs, but it stops the creeping. The bike is all stock. I just put in the new clutch. What I'm I doing wrong?

Answer
Put the 3 nuts back where they should be. Go to the adjuster in the center and adjust from there. First, loosen the cable so there is some slack in it. Now go to the adjuster in the center of the clutch and turn it outward. Turn it inward, slowly, unit it just bottoms out and then out 1/8 of a turn. Now adjust the cable so there is about 1/8 inch play in the clutch lever. Se if that doesnt solve the problem.
