Question
QUESTION: my front end appears to wobble at high speeds. not a whole a lot; but slightly, nonetheless. Why?

ANSWER: First, you might have a bad front tire. Check it for smoothness. If its bad replace it. If the tire is ok then you need to check the front wheel bearings and the steering neck bearings

QUESTION: Thanks for your quick response. Does this need immediate attention? How often does the bearings need attention? Is this costly repair (bearings)?

Answer
If it were me I wouldnt ride the bike until its repaired. You might go into a wobble you cant get out of.
The wheel bearing should be greased when ever you change tires. the steering head bearing should be lubed every 10,000 miles. I cant really tell you how much its going to cost, due to the fact that prices are different all over the country. I will tell you, however, that if the steering heard bearings are bad the front end will have ot come off to replace them
Good luck and happy riding
