Motorcycle Repair: 1981 honda 750c, petcock, fuel line

Question
I cleaned the carb up all jets, floats, etc.  I put it back on and now I can't get gas to the carb.

Answer
That's interesting.  There are two shutoffs in the fuel line.  The petcock and the float needles.  I'd start by making sure the petcock isn't plugged with rust or something.  Just pull the hose off the petcock and open up for a second and see if you get a good stream of fuel out.  If not, you know where you have to look.  If the petcock isn't the problem, you'll have to go back into the carbs and find out why the needles won't let fuel through. Could be the float level is set incorrectly or the passages are plugged with something. Just make sure all of the hoses and lines in the carbs are clear too.

Good luck
