Motorcycle Repair: wont start when warm, bolt torque, honda ct

Question
I have a honda ct trail 90, it starts and runs fine when cold, but after riding it a few miles and turning it off it wont start back up. any ideas. thank you.

Answer
Will it start better if you put the choke on?  I'm guessing not but if it did, the problem is probably because the mixture is leaning out possibly from an air leak in the intake system. Check the intake clamps and intake manifold bolt torque,  Assuming it does not start better with the choke on, the bike is probably running too rich.  This is most likely from an incorrectly set float level. Another possibility is that the coil is opening when it gets hot.  Make sure it still has spark when the engine is hot.

Good luck
