Motorcycle Repair: RE:First start of the year, winter storage, oil pump

Question
I took my '92 Soft tail out of my storage shed and went to start it for the first time after winter storage.  It started right up but immediately oil came pouring out from behind the air filter cover, I'm assuming the breather bolts.  I'm not sure at this point.  What might this be?

Answer
Your bottom end of the bike was full of oil. Over the winter oil weeped into the bottom end and when you started it the oil pump couldnt pump it out fast enough, so it came out the breather. Start the bike and it will clear up.
To fix the problem you have to remove the cover to the check valve in the oil pump and there is a spring and ball. Slightly tap the ball with a opumch to reseat it
Good luck and happy riding
