Motorcycle Repair: Hondas, goldwing 1800, fork legs

Question
Front forks leaking. Need to know how to pull and fix? I have a 2002 Goldwing 1800

Answer
I'd recommend you get a manual before attempting this repair.  It's a pretty involved job and you'll need to know how much oil to put back in.

To get the front forks apart, you have to remove the front wheel fender and brakes, pull the forks out of the triple tree, remove the lower fork legs and then extract the seal with out damaging either the aluminum fork leg or the for tube. Like I said, it's pretty involved but certainly manageable by a reasonably capable mechanic.  A manual will cover all of the details necessary to complete this repair since it's a pretty common problem.

Good Luck
