Nissan Repair: Spark plugs, nissan maxima, service intervals

I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima that needs a tune up.  Do I go buy spark plugs for it?  If so, what kind and how hard is it to change them?  What else is needed in the tuneup?

I would get Nippondenso or NGK and stay with the recommended heat range.  Look in the manual to see what Nissan recommends for your vehicle or go with what the guy at the parts store says the book calls for.  I would get a PCV valve and a new air filter and that should do it for the tuneup.  Remember, look in the manual under service intervals to see what else the maker recommends.
