Motorcycle Repair: motorcycle electrical problem., gear jammer, starter button

QUESTION: i tried to start my bike all i got was a few cranks of the starter after that there was no juice no clicks or lights,no electric power at all.i don't belive the battery was dead.but i charged it anyway,when i was putting the battery back in the wires sparked and the starter cranked without the ignition being turned on.could you help me please.i have an electronic ignition.

QUESTION: 2007 custom ultima engin in softtail fram.called a gear jammer custom.basicly a harley setup.

If your starter is turning on its on when you hook up the battery, then either the starter button is stuck or the starter bendix is stuck. First, check the button. If its ok, the you will have to pull the starter and do an inspection on it
