Question
Hello, i was wondering if you know how to adjust the cams on the cb750k.  I know there is a nut to do it and i have a good idea how but i wanted to make sure.  All help is greatly appreciated.  Also do you know how to adjust the clutch? thanks!

Answer
Alex,

the later dual cam 750 uses shims to
adjust the valve clearance.
You need a special tool to hold
the valve down in order to change
the shims. If it has the locknut
and screw you just set the clearances
at .003" with the cam lobes pointing
away from the rocker arms.

The clutch has an adjustment screw
under the small cap on the right
engine cover.
Loosen the clutch cable off so it has lots
of free play.
Unlock the adjustment nut and
back the screw out slightly.
Turn the screw in until it
touches lightly and back it out
3/4 turn and lock the nut again.
Re-adjust your cables so you have
a small bit of free play
at the clutch lever 3/8" or less.
