Motorcycle Repair: 99 CBR 600 engine quits while driving, honda cbr 600, honda cbr 600 f4

I have a 99 Honda CBR 600 F4, twice in the last two weeks I have been riding and the engine will start to sputter and than die.  It did it both times after I was riding in town for about 2 miles and than on the hwy when I'm going about 60 mph and have been traveling for 5-8 miles it will sputter and eventually quit.  Once stopped it will turn over for about 30 sec. and it will fire and be fine.  any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance

sounds like a fuel problem.
Could be:

-a plugged gas tank air vent or cap.
You will notice vacuum or pressure
in the tank when you open the cap.

-A plugged petcock screen inside gas tank.
-Dirty fuel filter.
-Faulty fuel pump.
