Motorcycle Repair: 99 EVO rocker box leak, rocker boxes, hourly rates

Question
I have a 1999 evo 1340 on a FXR 2 frame with a leaking rocker box gasket on the rear cyl.
I am just going to replace both front and rear rocker box gaskets at the same time.
My Question = can is be do with the engine still on the bike ??
Can I drop the front of the engine down enough to get to the rear rocker box gasket??
If not what is a good price from a dealership to replace both front and back rocker box gaskets??
Thanks Signed Tony.
P.S. I live in Ohio also, how close are you to Cleveland OH.
And do you still repair Harleys??

Answer
I am about 3 hours from Cleveland and yes I still repair harleys
To replace your rocker boxes you dont need to pull the motor. There is enough space to get them out, but its tight.
I am not sure what the dealerships charge for this type of job, since I dont know their hourly rates
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
