Motorcycle Repair: removing rear signal lights, signal lights, light assembly

I have a 2008 superglide custom. i have been trying to remove the signal lights assembly but cant remove the 2 wires that connect on to the brake light assembly. is there a special trick to remove this 2 cables?

do you mean the connectors?
They use "AMP" style connectors
on some of the wiring harness.
Usually you have to unlock them
somehow. You may have to pry or
squeeze depending on the type.

Many owners choose to cut and/or splice as
needed to modify things. I would be cautious
if your bike is on warranty.
