Question
QUESTION: hi,i just had a 131ci H&L motor put in my bigdog chopper,i have 12:1 compression w/releases. I am on my second battery, can someone help me with the right size?(cold cranking amps)thanks

ANSWER: If you have compression releases then your battery should be fine, since when starting you dont have very much compression. When trying to start, what is the bike doing?

QUESTION: the starter doesn't have enough juice to even turn over.I put a 2.4kw spike starter and a brand new harley battery, the only time the motor starts, is if i have the battery jumped to another battery(car)

Answer
First, test the battery. Even though its new it might have a bad cell in it. Next, check your battery cables. Worn cables have alot of resistance. Check both ends of the cables for good connections. Make sure the compression releases are working correctly. Lastly, make sure your time is not to far advanced. If to far advanced its hard to start
Good luck and happy riding
