Question -
I have a 1975 Sportster that began missing from the front cylinder after I ride it about 10-15 minutes. The bike has an electronic ignition I installed several years ago. I also replaced the plugs recently. I am pretty sure it is fouling due to a faulty coil. What is the procedure to test a coil with an Ohm meter. My manual doesn't cover this.
Answer -
Do you have a duel fire or single fire ignition?
Mike
It's a Dyna S Dual Fire Ignition Model #12-319

Answer
Check at the posts on the coil for OHms. You should get around 3 OHMs. then check at the posts where the plug wires go. You should get around 16,000 OHMs. If you are missing only from one cylinder and only one plug is fouling, then it might be your plug wires
Good luck and happy riding
