Motorcycle Repair: I crossed the battery terminals, street model, ground connections

Question
It's a Yamaha 360 1977 model and I was wondering what to check first.  There's no juice to the key now and the battery and fuses are good.

Answer
Andrew,

Let me know what you find, I was thinking
of the old RT360 when you wrote me.
You likely have a street model XS360?
You should have about 4 fuses to check.
Try disconnecting the rectifier plug temporarily
when you check for power to the ignition
switch. There could be a bad diode somewhere.
------------------------------------------
if you have a test light or multimeter
check for power on the red wire going
to the switch.
This wire comes directly from the fuse
and should have power.

Check for power on the tan colored
flasher wire after turning the switch on.
It should have power there too.

You may have a bad wire somewhere that
can only be found by tracing the power flow.

Double check that red wire to the switch
and check your battery ground connections.
