Hi Christopher.

Hope you can help i have recently bought a cbr 600 1994 and it just started to cut out when i touch the accelerator basically the bike will start first time  i ride it 500meters then i start to lose power touch the accelerator and shes gone then whe i try to restart nothing it sounds like shes trying to turn over but cant however if i put the choke on she starts and sits a 3000 revs idle touch the accelerator and she cuts out ? plese help?

Hi Barrett.

Start with the basics.  Check the connections from the carbs to the manifolds as well as the connections from the manifolds to heads.  They could be loose and allowing too much air into the system.  Also check the air filter.  Replace as needed.  Check the spark plugs and see if the bike is running lean, good or rich.

Start with that and see what you find.
