Motorcycle Repair: yamaha r6, adjustment screws, battery condition

Question
i have a yamaha R6. sometimes its hard to start. you have to choke it 4 @ least a minute. after it starts its fine you can turn it off n restart fine but when you go ride it and come to a stop it dies and then you can't start it again. please help thanx

Answer
Sai,

I suggest replacing the fuel filter,
checking the battery condition and the
cable connections.

Check for missing idle adjustment screws.

Next, clean the idle/pilot jets in the carbs.
Make sure you can see light through them.

Could be a failing fuel pump, you
should hear it click a few times when you turn on the ignition.
