Motorcycle Repair: 1981 FLT wheel bearings and bearing races and spacers, wheel bearings, cast wheels

I  was given a basket 81 FLT and the wheel s have no bearings or bearing races and my manual is not real clear on installation procedure ie what they even look like or there placement, could you please tell me the correct placement of parts in these cast wheels would be.    thanks

You install the races on both sides of the wheel, then the spacers and then the bearings. The taper of the bearing goes towards the center. You have to put the axle in and tighten it, with some kind of spacer, so you can get the end play required on the bearing. If the bearing is to tight it will burn up, to loose and it might wobble.
