Motorcycle Repair: stator plug, stator, hi mike

hi Mike,
the stator and rectifier plug have fried themselves. i have done a temporary connection to check them and they both seem to be still working ok. can i solder on a new plug to each and push the stator plug in without having to shell out for new charging system and stripping down the primary?

First, I am not sure where youa re going to get the new plugs. I dont know anyone that sells them. The other problem is in order to install a new plug on the stator your are still going to hvae to remove the stator to get to the wires. So, if it were me, I would go ahead and replace them
