Motorcycle Repair: Honda Shadow Spirit 1100, honda shadow spirit, fuel stabilizer

Question
I have an '04 Shadow Spirit 1100 with 4600 miles on it.  It does not get ridden as much as it probably should.  Recently it has developed an issue where it takes quite a while to warm up and even once warm, it is boggy in first gear.  Once the rpms are up and the bike is moving, it has no issues at all at speed.  Just had 4000 mile maintenance done but they did not tell me that anything looked amiss.  I have not pulled plugs (this afternoon's project).  Any thing else in particular I can look at before engaging the local Honda dealer's service department?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Answer
Steve,

sounds like the idle circuits are plugged.
They may clear up with some riding
or may need to be cleaned.
Some people use "Seafoam" to help clean the
carbs while running.
Fuel goes bad quickly these days, always
use a fuel stabilizer when parking a bike.
