Motorcycle Repair: rm125, friction discs, clutch lever

Iv just bought an old rm. I was just reading about the clutch probs and mine slips only in 6 gear. The screw on da bars is out all da way. av any ideas plz. wot oil~petrol mix shd i use cos its ma 1 2stroke bike. any help wil be gratefull. thanks very much. Dom

Is there any free play in the lever at all. You may have the adjusting screw out a little to far causing the clutch to slip. There is suppose to be a little bit of a gap between the clutch lever and the perch so that the clutch is not being "pulled" by a to tight cable. If this is not the case you will probably have to replace the clutch plates, friction discs and springs.
