Motorcycle Repair: changing a clutch cable, clutch cable, right the first time

i am changing my cable in a 85 spotter. the cable broke in a accident i had last year. i am unable to figure out how to disconnect the cable at the engine i took out most of the small bolts on the casing because i cant just pull it out, but need advise so its right the first time please help.

First, you have to remove the cover over the clutch and remove the adjuster. Drain the fluid. Loosen the primary chain adjuster and then remove the primary cover. When you have it off you will see where the cable is attached.
