Motorcycle Repair: 08 Road King, microtorch, locktight

Question
1. I can't get the clutch cover screws loose.  I even used a microtorch just in case they used red Loctite on them!
2.  How in heck do you get the new modular taillight assembly off? I took out the screw at the top from behind the lens/lamop assembly, and now the base moves around, but it won't come off! I'm amazed at how different this bike is from my previous Harleys!

They shouldnt have used red locktight on the clutch cover, but I have had to use an impact on them to get them loose.
I havent worked on a taillight on the 08 so its tough for me to comment on that. Look inside the fender and see if there is a nut in there
