Motorcycle Repair: Card Problem?, vaccume, hoses

When I get on the throttle and resume "normal" curising speed my bike runs like crap. It almost seems as though the carbs are working against eachother and I lose acceleration. The previous owner said the vacume hoses might be dry rotted.

The carb issue your having could be from loss of vaccume, you need to spray carb cleaner at the hoses, and see what happens, also spray it at the boots the connect the cabs to the engine. If the idle goes up, or the engine dies out, you definately have a vaccume issue..
