Question
I have a 1996 RM 125. when the bike in runing and I pull the clutch in and drop it into first it stalls out. so i pulled the clutch cover off and noticed that the clutch basket and inner hub were grooved but after replacement the problem still is there. i want to figure this out and not waste my money on something that i dont need.

Answer
Matt,

I would check your clutch assembly again.
Is the clutch arm that disengages the
clutch working okay? If so, remove the clutch
springs, make sure the bike is in neutral,
Put your fingers in the holes for the clutch
springs and try to turn the inner hub assy.
The inner hub should turn unless something
is wrong. Could be sticky or warped clutch
plates or hub nut overtightened.
Work on it until you can get the clutch
hub to turn freely inside the basket.
The plates should allow it to slip
with the springs out.
Put the springs back in and try it again,
Use 10-30 oil.
