Motorcycle Repair: 2003 Yamaha V-Star tail light repair / maintenence, yamaha v star, panka

Question
I recently purchased a 2003 V-star 1100 and on the way home, the tail light
stopped working.  Where should I start tracing the wiring back to?  How can I tell
if it's the bulb or the electrical system?  Basically, where do I start?

Hi Ryan,

If the brakelight still works, then just replace the bulb, one of the filiments went bad. If nothing works, then i would suggest looking up inside the fender for a worn wire from the tire rubbling on it, then so on...
