Motorcycle Repair: can`t shift to netural when stopped, clutch basket, clutch plates

Question
My 1970 FLH always shifted to neutral very easy before a trans rebuild. After it was very hard to find neutral when stopped. I lived with it until I replaced the trans with a new 5 speed Revtech but it did not help. Clutch plates and springs have been replaced with heavy duty to help with slippage. Also a 51 bearing kit was installed witch was only slightly better. The clutch basket and steel plates are original. The steel plates do not seem to be warped.

Answer
Finding netural in Harleys seems to be a inherent problem. On the shifter drum there is just a small space for netural and its tough to find.
Since you changed trans it shouldnt be that hard.Try running a different synthetic oil in the trans and see if that doesnt help
Good luck and happy riding
