Motorcycle Repair: high altitude jetting, intermediate jet, dual fire

Question
i have a 1985FXRS, other than exhaust and screamimng eagle ignition(dual
fire), the
bike is stock, with 13,000 original miles. I moved up to 4,800 altitude from
the previous sea level altitude in calif.Needless to say, the bike is running a
touch rich.
I have some experience in jetting my 4 stroke dirt bike up to this altitude, but
I cannot find a chart/graph to show approx. recommended jets for altitude
and temperatures for Harley's. Any suggestions? Advice?
regards,  jim

Answer
What you need to do is first go smaller on the intermediate jet and then test ride the bike. Dont go over 2500 RPM. ride for about 5 miles and then check the plugs. If they are tan then you are ok. Black and you need to go smaller. After you have it set then do the same thing to the main jet, except riding over 3000 RPM.
There really is no graph on jetting. Its all going to depend on the carb you have, the exhaust you are running, cam and intake.
Good luck and happy riding
