can i install a electric start for this bike. i have trouble starting the bike and usually have to push start it honda xl 600

One place to check is www.actionps.com Look up your bike in parts diagrams, and see if a starter was an option for that bike in that year...

Usually When a kick starter is too dificult to start a bike and push starting is the easier, that tells me compression could be low.
