Motorcycle Repair: clutch, honda goldwing aspencade, top cable

Question
How do you adjust the clutch on a 1984 Honda Goldwing Aspencade. 1984.

Answer
Clarence,

No adjustment is necessary.
-hydraulic actuated clutches adjust themselves.
If you are having problems, it is likely a leak or air
in the hydraulic system, master or slave cylinder
or the clutch itself needs attention.

-NOTE: earlier Goldwings have a cable clutch,
on these you loosen your top cable adjuster
all the way, then go to the bottom
cable adjuster, give the bottom lever 5/8"
free play, go back and adjust the top
cable adjuster for 3/8" free play on lever.
-If you have a clutch screw adjuster
under a cap on cover, loosen the lock nut, turn the screw
in until it resists, back it out
about a turn and lock the nut.
Adjust free play at lever with top cable adjuster
to 3/8"
