1984 fj 600 yamaha When I first start from cold  charging system is at14.5  run for about5 min then its drawing from the battery I instaled a volt guage so I can monitor the voltage

-Disconnect and check for 60-70 "AC" volts between the three stator
wires on the stator plug at 3000 rpm and up.
See if it cuts down after warming up the bike. It may be the heat
is causing a stator short or open.

-If it maintains the specified voltage,
you may have a wire or connector problem or
a faulty regulator/rectifier.
Keep battery cables tight and clean ground.
