Motorcycle Repair: gas over flow, screw driver, biek

hello, my wife was riding her 92 fat boy today, was running fine. she stopped to get gas then came home.  i went out in the garage a couple hours later and there was a huge puddle of gas. do you have any idea what happened and what i can do to fix?   thanks  jimmy

The gas is coming out the over flow. The float is probably stuck. First, I would start the biek and let it run for a minute. Shut it off and tap the carb with the handle of a screw driver and that might unstick it. If it doesnt, then you are going to have to remove the carb and check the float.
One thing I do is always turn the petcock off when not riding, so if it does stick I dont get a gas flow.
