Motorcycle Repair: clutch lever has no pressure, clutch master cylinder, tiny air bubbles

Question
I have an '83 honda shadow VT750C and recently installed a new stator. I had to drain the hyralic clutch line to do this and after reassembly of everything, I refilled the clutch master cylinder and bled the air out but I get no pressure on the clutch lever and the clutch will not engage. I have bled it several times with no results. I do not see any leaks and the clutch lever worked properly before this.

Answer
Tim,

If nothing was changed during the work on the stator, it is likely just
air trapped somewhere. Also fluid can get permeated with fine
air bubbles and it takes time for them to dissolve.

-Try to purge the air from the top down.
Pump the lever and hold, then open the banjo/bolt
fitting on the line at the master (top) cylinder
slightly, just to let any trapped air out.
Do this a few times if necessary and then try bleeding
the slave again.
-You will have to wrap something around
the banjo fitting to prevent getting fluid all over
everything. Remember to top up the fluid too.

-Letting it sit a few hours might help
to release any tiny air bubbles that
are in the fluid but too small to bleed.
