does a 1979 honda goldwing starter fit on a 1982 honda goldwing 1100

-some of the parts will fit like the starter
brushes and starter clutch rollers.
I don't think the whole starter is compatible.
Some other odds and ends will fit, some gaskets
maybe timing belts etc.
You might be able to repair the 82 starter using some
of the 79 starter parts.
