Motorcycle Repair: CB360T carbs, mikuni carbs, honda cb360t

Question
I have a 1976 Honda CB360T that currently has Keihin CV carbs model 745B. I have modified the exhaust and air boxes and can not find replacement jets. I seen a pair of mikuni 32mm carbs for sale. They claim they are for a 1976 CB360T and are a great replacement for the old CV style carbs. Could you please tell me if they will work and what else I will need to do to use these mikuni carbs; what other modifications or changes will I need to do to ensure they work properly.

Answer
Jim,

if they are made for use on the 360, they
should fit without much trouble.

Just measure your carb intake hose and see
if they will fit. You may have to make or look
into a throttle cable that has two cables,
one for each carb and a single cable for
the throttle.

Also you might need aftermarket air filters.
Once it is installed, do a fast run and read the
plug color to see if it runs rich or lean.
Rejet as necessary.

Often the old CV carbs have better throttle response.
There are Mikuni carb kits online for the 360T.
