Question
replacing the timing chain/need timing mark and how to line up marks  thank you

Answer
Tammy..
Honda singles usually have an "T" mark
down below on the flywheel or rotor.
It lines up with a mark on the engine case
and  sets the piston at top dead center.
The camgear has a little dot on the edge.
You point the dot straight up inline
with the angle of the engine cylinder or
line it up if you see a mark on the top
of the engine case or head.
Double check it, even a tooth off is no good.
The piston is up so you should not have any valves
open, look at your cam lobes and make sure
they are not going to open the valves
when the gear and chain go on. This could bend
valves. It should be okay if the marks are
aligned properly, then it is timed the way
it should be for the piston to clear the valves.
