Motorcycle Repair: Harley Davidson Spark Plugs, heritage softail classic, time owner

Question
I have just purchased a H.D. 1995 Heritage Softail Classic.  As soon as I got it home, the battery died and I replaced it.  Now, I am fowling plugs everytime I crank it.  Do I need new plugs or do I just need to learn how to warm it up.  I am a first time owner and probably just need more knowledge but any help would be much appreciated!

Answer
First, make sure its charging. Use a volt meter, with the bike running, and test at the battery. At 2000RPM you should be getting around 13.5 volts.
If that is ok then do a OHMs test on the coil and plug wires to see if they are good
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
