What is the procedure to replace rear brake shoes?

Royal,
remove brake rod nut and hub anchor bolt,
remove axle and rear wheel.
Remove old brake shoes from hub, they are held on with
2 springs and 2 cotter pins/plate.
Blow out the dust, grease the cam that the shoes sit on, sparingly. Install new brake shoes. Make sure the
backing plate and brake drum look okay.
You can sand the drum to take the glaze off.
Reassemble, and readjust your brake rod for
one inch free play on brake pedal.
