QuestionMy big fat foot broke the gear shifter off my ACE. Looks like i may have broken that shaft. Is it called a mainshaft?, Also it is getting very poor fuel milage, any pointers?...also, seems like i may have clutch problems. it has some delay after letting go of the clutch on my handle bars...Needs help/advice, thanks!

hope your foot is okay.
That shaft is part of the shifter assembly,
it is called gearshift spindle "A"
It is replaced by removing the right side
engine case. It is a little tricky to do.
The clutch can be inspected at the same time
as it is in there too.
Probably your gas milage will increase if the
clutch is repaired.
