Motorcycle Repair: 1981 GS550L, suzuki gs550l, electrical conductors

Hi I have a 1981 suzuki GS550L that does not run. There is only spark to two cylinders. I've replace the igniton coils to that side but it still wont fire. Could there be something wrong in the wiring or maybe igniton box? Any help or ideas would be great thanks.

Hi Brian,

If all electrical conductors are in good condition and connectors clean and tightly fastened, I suspect the CDI/TCI (electronic ignition) is likely defective. Test it with a known good unit. (Easier said than done unless you work at a dealer.)
