Motorcycle Repair: Sportster Electrics, battery cables, test light

OK I have an old 97 Sportster Sport 1200, Having been out on it with no problems went top start it to put back in the garage and I got nothing no ignition, indicators lights or horn. Totally dead, appreciate any ideas to start meoff.

First, check your battery to make sure its not dead or it that its not a bad battery.
Once you have that done, check the battery cables for tightness on both ends.
If the battery and cables are good, check the ignition switch with a test light to see if you have power going to it. If not then check the main breaker for power on both sides of it with the ignition on.
