Motorcycle Repair: Front fork oil seal replacement, head bolt, fork oil

Question
I have an 02 Harley sportster custom one of my forks is leaking oil. I need to know how to fix this problem. I am mechanically inclined and have built cars and motors for years but this will be my first attempt to work on a bike. I don't know where to start to remove the fork. Is there tork specs for the bolts? Which oil should I use. Where do I put the oil in at? Do I have to remove the tire to do this job? What about the handle bars?
Thanks
Scott

Answer
First, drain the oil. There is a nut ont he side of the for to do this.
Now you have to remove the wheel and fender. remove the top cap to the fork. Inside the bottom of the fork is a allen head bolt. Remove it and the lower fork will slide off. You put the oil in at the top cap. Use the Harley fork oil.
Good luck and happy riding
