Motorcycle Repair: head bolt torque values, bolt torque specifications, honda cr 250

Question
im looking for head bolt torque specifications for my 88 honda cr 250. can you
help?

Answer
Shawn,
torque settings are determined by the size of bolt
and it's strength. The manufacturer is the authority
on their own products but most bolts fall within
a certain range of torquing. I would say around 20 ft/lbs
for your head bolts, here is a chart for approximate
torque values based on bolt sizes.

It is a good idea to use an anti-seize on the bolts
or at least lubricate them before assembly.
