Motorcycle Repair: motorcycle wireing, purpouse, seca 2

I was give a Yamaha xj600sf seca 2 motorcycle. It had been badly damaged in an accident. The engine still runs fine. I want to use the motor for another purpouse and would like to know the basic wiring needed to run the motor. I was also wondering if I would be able to use the factory wires from the bike to do this with? If you could provide me with a diagram of parts and wiring it would be greatly appriciated. Hi Kent,

You can use the wiring as described. You'll need to use all of the ignition and charging system components. Depends upon your intended use of this engine if lighting system components are needed.

Find the wiring diagram in the service manual. Order the manual at "www.repairmanual.com" or if you do not want to purchase the manual, check your local library for a loaner copy.
